Tejay Photography
I have been taking photographs for over forty years. I took my first photograph
on a Box Brownie aged six, and was instantly hooked. At the age of eight my
father finally gave in, and purchased a twin lens Russian 35mm camera for me, as
a Christmas present, which I still have to this day. My Grand Mother was house
keeper to Mr Harold Keeble, who was fashion editor to a major tabloid
newspaper. Whilst visiting Mr Keeble’s flat, which I did on numerous occasions,
I was introduced to Cecil Beaton. Who explained to me about photographic
techniques, such as framing, lighting, correct exposure, film speed, and many
other useful tips. These meetings were to have a profound effect on my
photography, and where I wanted to take it on a personal level. In my twenties
I became a professional photographer in the armed forces.
During this period I
had work published in magazines and newspapers. Upon leaving the forces I
decided to carry on photography as a hobby. I have an extensive portfolio in
Portraiture, Natural History, Land and Seascape’s, Wedding’s, Fashion, and
Model Portfolio’s.
